Alex Sedgewick

Alex started karting at the age of 8, competing initially in local club-level competitions. After he won the club championship at one of his local tracks in 2008, his first full season, the decision was made to compete in the WTP LGM British Karting Championship in 2009. This higher level of competition led to fast improvements, from finishing 23rd in 2009, to finish 9th overall in 2010.

Carrying on the momentum from 2010, Alex moved from a 'Lad and Dad' operation to running with a professional team, JM Racing for the first time. He won the WTP Cadet Winter Series with three wins out of three, before taking the British title with one round to go after six wins out of seven races.

This meant he was the 2011 British Champion, in addition to breaking a number of championship records. Including most wins in a series, first person to win all three heats, qualify on pole position, set the fastest lap and win the final in the same race meeting and highest points total to date.

Alex has Raced in NASCAR. Clio Cup, Porsche Cup as well as other series in the UK and internationally, so has a broad experience in motorsport.
